Bizquip Commercial Interiors appproached CG Business Consulting off the back of a recommendation from a previous client, wanting assistance on  implementing a QEHS Management System.

Bizquip - QEHS Management System

Project Objectives

To achieve ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 Certification while improving internal operations from Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety (QEHS Management System) Perspective.

Key Challenges

  • The management system’s success depends on the adoption and engagement of all Bizquip employees.
  • The team needs to understand how the system works, how it benefits them, their role in the system’s success, and their contribution towards organisational goals.
  • Understanding and Knowledge of applicable legislation from Environmental and Health & Safety Perspective for all operations.
  • Services offered including outsourcing from supplier and subcontractor perspective.

Actions Taken

  • Training and communication planning within the project helped to overcome this challenge.
  • Completion of Action Log for gaps within legal compliance with any applicable legislation e.g. racking inspection (GA1).
  • Developing procedures for the control of externally provided processes.

Results

  • Achieved ISO Certification with no findings.
  • Compliance with applicable EHS Legislation e.g. REPAK.
  • Full upgrade and improvement of Racking within the warehouse.
  • Full re-works on fire alarm and emergency lighting.
  • Full segregation of waste.
  • Introduction of Departmental Key Performance Indicators.
  • Introduction of EHS Committee - consistent monitoring and measurement of EHS activities.
  • Baseline data gathered for environmental aspects e.g. electricity usage, waste output, paper usage, etc.
  • Supply of non-hazardous toner and inks to the Irish Market.
  • Company Awareness of QEHS Standards and the importance of particiaption and consultation to the success of QEHS Management System.
