Caroline Geoghegan
Founder & CEO
Meet Caroline, the dynamic force behind CGBC. With over 20 years of experience in business growth, market expansion and competitive strategy she’s a master at aligning high-level objectives with actionable results leading CGBC with a perfect blend of strategic vision and down-to-earth approachability. Outside of work, Caroline treasures downtime with her family, especially with her two young boys, who keep her active and on her toes. An avid traveller, she’s always planning the next family adventure, mixing relaxation with a dose of discovery. Caroline as a certified personal trainer is also passionate about fitness, dedicating time to working out and hiking. A skilful camogie player, Caroline has played at the highest level, winning championships staying actively involved both on and off the field. Whether she's on a scenic trail or cheering from the side-lines, Caroline brings the same energy and dedication to her personal life that she does to her professional one.
Govinda Geoghegan
CFO/CIO
Govinda brings a wealth of knowledge and strategic insight to CGBC with 15 years’ experience in the finance industry. As Chief Financial and Information Officer, leading the charge overseeing the company’s Information Security Division. Combining a deep understanding of financial frameworks with a passion for technology, Govinda ensures that client solutions are both robust and forward-thinking. Outside of work, Govinda is a sports enthusiast with an impressive hurling career spanning 20 years. Now off the field Govinda enjoys coaching and travelling. As dynamic as a hurling match Govinda brings a unique blend of energy, precision, and dedication to the business.
Noel Conaty
Head of Climate Change & Sustainability
Noel is the longest serving member of the team with CGBC, joining way back in 2012. Aside from spending his time with his wife and child (welcoming his little girl in 2023), Noel is a massive Hurling enthusiast, with him having vast experience at intercounty and club level in Westmeath. He represents his beloved Westmeath and local club Lough Lene Gaels from the goalie position. He has a keen interest in most sports, with him previously having representing his college in both pool and snooker, and loves golf, but reckons he doesn't get enough time to play it.
NOEL
One of our most experienced Lead QEHS Consultants, Noel has been central to the development and roll-out of our current Remote Services offering – ISOnline.
An exceptional academic, Noel has been awarded several graduate and post-graduate degrees including a BSc Agriculture from UCD, and a MSc in Environmental, Health and Safety from the Dublin Institute of Technology. In addition to his Masters degree in EHS, Noel has also achieved an ISO QEHS Lead Auditor certification.
A Lead Auditor in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (formerly OHSAS 18001), Noel has applied his extensive understanding and knowledge of the QEHS disciplines to business scenarios across multiple sectors including Agriculture, Construction, Electrical, Engineering and Manufacturing. Since joining CGBC, he has used the practical experience of these industries to the advantage of our clients.
Noel combines his proficiency in business management systems with clear and open communications skills to develop and maintain strong working relationships with our clients. His client-centric, collaborative way of working produces results that drive impactive change and continuous improvement, not least when he is partnering with SMEs, many of whose businesses he has helped to scale and flourish.
When working with clients his approach is to share and blend ideas to produce best-fit solutions. Professional to a tee, he has helped scores of CGBC clients to successfully achieve certification to ISO Management System standards whilst simultaneously managing their implementation projects.
Polite and understated, Noel’s motto is ‘simplicity provides for positive and productive client experience”.
Sarah Kent
Director of Sustainability
Sarah’s role centres on delivering exceptional services that truly make an impact. Outside of work, she is all about sports and long walks. She finds that staying active helps connect with nature and recharge!
Annette O'Byrne
Finance Manager
Annette is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and compliance within the consulting industry. With an enthusiasm for both finance and the environment, she inspires us to think big and act responsibly. When she isn't crunching numbers or pitchside with her kids , she is passionate about food and travel, exploring new cuisines or discovering hidden gems.
Niamh Dermody
Marketing Manager
Niamh, hailing from Kilkenny, juggles life with two small children, two lively Bichon Frise dogs, and, just to keep things interesting a new kitten. Her home is a whirlwind of fun and fur! When she’s not managing the delightful chaos, Niamh sneaks in some "me time" with a gripping thriller audiobook or true crime podcast, her perfect escape from the madness!
Laura Rock
Office Manager
Laura is CGBC’s Office Manager and Talent Acquisition specialist, bringing with her over 10 years of experience from her role as a Recruitment Manager in London. She ensures everything runs smoothly behind the scenes at CGBC. Outside of work, Laura has a passion for exploring new places and traveling the world.
Vivienne Murtagh
QEHS Consultant
Vivienne, an honours graduate in Occupational Health and Safety from Sligo Institute of Technology, has been with CG Business Consulting as the Lead QEHS Consultant since 2017. Outside of her professional life, Vivienne is a devoted animal lover. She cares for her horses and enjoys the lively company of her African Grey Parrot, Caper, who, with his excellent English and impeccable manners, never fails to amuse!
VIVIENNE
An honours graduate in Occupational Health and Safety from the Sligo Institute of Technology, Vivienne has held the position of Lead QEHS Consultant for CG Business Consulting since XXXX (year).
Vivienne applies a results-driven approach to her role, seeking to deliver best-practice solutions that drive value-creation and innovative change. She has gained considerable professional experience in the implementation of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 (previously OHSAS 18001) management systems.
In her capacity as Lead QEHS consultant, Vivienne has also been involved in the co-ordination of such specialist subject training plans such as Manual Handling and Safety in Construction, experience which led to her being appointed to the position of Co-ordinator for the Safe Use of Cranes on the Construction Industry Training Programme.
A stickler for detail, Vivienne’s strong analytical skills continue to ensure she quickly gains a deep understanding of the client’s needs, enabling her to conceive of and deliver high quality services to our clients. Combining professionalism with passion, Vivienne is committed to helping both our clients and CGBC achieve lasting success.
In addition to her ongoing research into pending updates to ISO standards and emerging trends in relevant sectors such as MedTech and Construction, Vivienne’s membership of the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health is further testament to her commitment to continuous professional development and passion for what she does.
A people person, Vivienne is a skilled communicator, facilitator and trainer. She has helped design and deliver many of our awareness and training programmes and facilitated planning and continuous improvement workshops for clients at pre and post project phase. An advocate for knowledge sharing and transfer, Vivienne designed and developed the Knowledge Transfer methodology currently in use by our team of consultants
Aisling Duffy
Quality Consultant
With 8 years of experience helping businesses navigate ISO 9001, Aisling is all about making quality management systems a little less intimidating and a lot more efficient. Whether she’s streamlining processes or offering compliance advice, Aisling makes it easier for organisations to focus on what they do best. Outside the office, she’s either on the camogie pitch representing Lough Lene Gaels in senior camogie (retirement pending!), keeping fit, or tending to the family farm animals. She’s also recently joined 'Mothers and Others' with the Shandonagh Ladies Football team scoring 2-03 on her first outing. At home, she tries not to call out non-conformances with her husband and their two small children! And as former captain of the Westmeath Camogie team, Aisling knows a thing or two about leading with passion and precision.
Oonagh Malone
Quality & Sustainability Consultant
With over 20 years of experience in both industry and consultancy, Oonagh holds degrees in Environmental Engineering and Quality. She has a strong background in environmental consultancy and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), and she brings extensive expertise in ISO management systems on EPA-licensed sites, including ISO 14001, 9001, 50001, and 17025. Outside of her professional life, Oonagh enjoys walking her beloved St. Bernard, Bailey, and finds joy in wild swimming.
John Mongan
Senior Information Technology & Security Consultant
John is a senior member of our technology consultancy team, with over two decades of experience in IT management, service delivery, and cybersecurity. When he's not immersed in technology, John enjoys long-distance running and trekking through the scenic hills of Wicklow and Dublin.
Vanessa Harrisson
Information Security Risk & Resilience Consultant
Vanessa is a key member of our information security team, specialising in data protection, business continuity, and everything ISO 27001. She actively contributes to ISO and BSI technical committees, helping to shape standards on risk, continuity, and resilience, including ISO 31000 and ISO 22301. In her spare time, Vanessa can be found driving her collection of Citroen A-Series vehicles or even giving you a stylish cut and colour, all while conversing in any of the four languages she's fluent in, being both a qualified hairdresser and linguist.
Julia Municio
Senior Sustainability Consultant
Julia is a Spanish colleague and a sustainability manager with over 10 years of experience in the field of climate change. She is always seeking new adventures in her spare time, enjoying time with friends and family, meeting people from different cultures, and staying up to date with the latest art exhibitions. With a curious mind, she delights in personal growth and in sharing experiences with her loved ones.
Carolina Vindas
EV Sustainability Technical Lead
Carolina comes from a rural village in Costa Rica, a place rich in nature, biodiversity, and delightful coffee. As an environmental engineer, she is devoted to promoting sustainable consumption and production, recognizing these as essential steps toward achieving meaningful change in the face of the climate crisis. Passionate about defending the right of all people to a healthy environment and protecting natural ecosystems, Carolina collaborates with organizations on strategies for climate mitigation, adaptation, and environmental footprint measurement, ensuring a just and sustainable future for both current and future generations.
